AppFolio accounting can get very messy if you don’t follow the proper steps. Running reports is a great way to review and verify that information is being recorded correctly in the AppFolio accounting system.
The Deposit Register report in AppFolio allows you to view several details for the deposits dated within a specific date range. It’s helpful when you’re reconciling and have several deposits, for example, with the same amount. To access this report, you need to:
- Click Reporting and select Reports.
- Under Transaction Reports, click Deposit Register.
- The report opens to the Customize window. Filter the report as desired and click Columns to add or remove columns of information to the report (optional)
This report has different filters you can choose to see depending on what you need; also, the default grouping of this report is the bank account.
Keep in mind that this report won’t show undeposited receipts. A tip to see these is to make a new deposit, select the bank account, and all the receipts shown are those that have not yet been deposited in AppFolio
